Calling all runners, walkers, cyclists, hikers, Spartans! If you are currently training for or considering training for a race, please consider joining the Play Brigade Race Team and making your race count toward our mission of providing more fun for EVERYONE! Over the years, Play Brigade supporters have run the historic Boston and NYC Marathons, attempted to break the FKT record on Vermont’s grueling Long Trail, and been part of the nation’s first all-inclusive road race, the Play Brigade 5K.

Here are the possibilities to be a part of the Play Brigade Race Team.

  • Choose Your Own Race

Whatever you’re running, you could dedicate your training and race to the mission of The Play Brigade. You set your own fundraising goal (suggested minimum $500). You will receive a kit to support your fundraising as well as your own peer-to-peer fundraising page. You will also receive an official Play Brigade Race Team racing “kit” that will include a uniform and a jacket.

Interested? Set up your peer-to-peer page here!

We are a proud partner of John Hancock’s Charity Partners for the Boston Marathon. This could be your opportunity to run in the most historic marathon in the world. We have a limited number of bibs and our fundraising minimum for the Marathon is $10K. If you are selected for our Marathon team, you will receive fundraising support as well as entry into the Marathon Coalition which is a coaching and training program to help you navigate running the marathon successfully.

You will also receive a special Marathon race “kit” with your choice of singlet, t-shirt, or long-sleeve as well as a racing jacket. Interested?

Running for and fundraising for the Play Brigade was an incredible experience. It was extremely rewarding to fundraise for a charity that helps to provide children with more inclusive opportunities. I hope to run the Boston Marathon for the Play Brigade again some day.
